Fees

For potential supervision and mentoring clients, an initial telephone discussion and assessment of up to 30 minutes, is free of charge. Following that, all negotiated sessions are charged for.

Payment for individuals
Face-to-face sessions are to be paid at the end of the session or via invoice as negotiated. Remote sessions will be emailed an invoice directly following the session. Receipts for all sessions will be emailed following receipt of payment.  Payment terms are seven days.

Payment for organisations
Organisations are invoiced at the end of each month. Payment terms are 30 days. Receipts will be issued if requested.

Medicare Rebate
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I have a Medicare provider number and can provide counselling through the Better Access to Mental Health program. Where counselling clients have a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP, they can receive a Medicare rebate for up to ten sessions (six sessions with the possibility of another four) per calendar year.

To use this service, you need to book an appointment with your GP for an assessment. If you are eligible, your GP can give you a referral and complete a Mental Health Care Plan. The rebate is available from the day that this paperwork is complete.

Counselling sessions need to be paid in full on the day. You then take the receipt to Medicare to receive a refund for part of the cost - approximately $70 per session.

Premises and availability
Face-to-face sessions are offered at private consulting rooms in Malvern, Melbourne or at other premises as negotiated. Online sessions are provided via Zoom or Skype, as negotiated.  Services are supplied during business hours, with a limited number of after-hours appointments available.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations within 24 hours of appointment time may incur a fee up to the full cost of the session.
